Meet Our Client
Auburn United Methodist Church (AUMC) is a welcoming, multigenerational church located in the heart of downtown Auburn. With a history rooted in the Auburn community, AUMC focuses on helping people grow in their faith while building meaningful connections with others.
Through worship, community outreach and ministries for all ages, AUMC strives to serve its neighbors and create a place where everyone feels welcome. The church also supports the Auburn community through the Good News Center, which provides resources such as a food pantry, clothes closet and other services for those in need.
REACH Program
As part of its commitment to serving others, AUMC offers the REACH program, designed to support families navigating dememtia. REACH provides connection, resources and community for individuals with dementia and the people who care for them.
Why REACH Matters
REACH facilitates a professional, empathetic environment for those experiencing cognitive decline while providing essential respite for caregivers. Through structured engagement, collaborative fellowship, and intentional physical movement, participants maintain active involvement and personal fulfillment within a secure setting.
For families, REACH serves as a reliable support network that recognizes the unique complexities of memory care. It represents a venue where individuals foster professional connections, explore diverse activities, and achieve social integration. Above all, REACH demonstrates that a dementia diagnosis does not preclude professional quality of life. It serves as a purposeful milestone characterized by renewed engagement, sustainable dignity, and communal support.
Our Partnership
Honey Bee PR is partnering with AUMC and its REACH program to increase awareness of the resources and support available to familes affected by dementia in the Auburn-Opelika area. Through this partnership, we are using public relations to share the impact of REACH, connect with the Auburn community and help more families discover the program.
Our goal is to highlight the people, stories and experiences that make REACH special while helping the progtam reach those who need it most!
